Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
How do I get a + symbol?
|
The + symbol in front of a username means that a user is a Room "Voice". Voices are users who are a good chat presence, participate in games actively, follow the rules, and contribute to the chat in a positive fashion.
Voices are able to host without getting permission and start minigames during Chill Time. Users who demonstrate the above qualities are far more likely to be voiced than those who do not. If you are curious about ranks higher than voice, read the PS! Staff FAQ here. |
Can I host?
|
Of course you can! If you would like to host, PM a Room Voice (+) or higher for approval. Be sure you know all of the rules of the game before you host so you can do well!
Note: You can't host any game that isn't on our games list unless you are an Approved Host, hosting a game that is in the Staff-Approved section of the forums. |
How are some people hosting themselves? Did you just lie to me?!
|
These regs are Approved Hosts (AHs for short). These users have shown to have exemplary hosting abilities, hosting games in both a large variety and of high difficulty.
Approved Hosts are able to host themselves without permission and host staff-approved forum games. If you want to practice hosting a harder game, head to the Game Workshop and ask a Room Driver (%) or higher to run a practice host. |
Is there a way I can practice hosting?
|
If you're a bit apprehensive about hosting, you can always do a practice host in our subroom, the Game Workshop (do /j gameworkshop in chat to join). PM a Room Driver (%) or higher to start the practice host. This way, you can get feedback about your hosting in the moment.

I have a new game idea! Where do I put it?
|
Awesome! We use Tapatalk Forums to submit user-created games. However, we would suggest that you look at these rules before creating your game. Feel free to submit any game idea in the forums. Games will be reviewed by Room Auth to determine whether or not it will become approved.
Unfortunately, the approval process is very, very slow. Submitting a game idea does NOT give you the right to host it UNTIL the auth have approved the game. The process may take anywhere from a month to half a year, and begging auth to review your game is distasteful. |
Why was I punished?
|
We have a set of rules that all users must follow when participating in our room. If you break any of them, you will be warned, muted, or banned from the room depending on the severity of the offense and your punishment history.
If you do get punished, it's not the end of the world! As long as you don't repeat what you did wrong, you'll be fine in the long run. If you have any questions about your punishment, refer to a Room Owner. |
What are bits?
|
Bits are the currency of Game Corner given out as a reward for winning games and room tournaments. More about them on this page!

What's Chill Time? And what are minigames?
|
Chill Time is just a time to chill between games. After a game ends, we designate 4 minutes to talking, horsing around, getting to know each other a bit, asking questions and playing minigames.
Minigames are miniature versions of games. These games give 25 bits and generally end quickly. |
I still have a question... what do I do?
|
Don't be afraid to ask one of our Room Auth (+, %, @, or #) a question! There's a 98.5835% chance that we will be able to answer it. All of the auth are super approachable, and will do what they can to get your question answered!
|
Umm, there's a mistake somewhere on this website.
|
Oops... blame dot Comfey. Just PM a room auth, telling them what and where the error is. Thanks!
